Leading commercial law firm Howard Kennedy LLP has appointed Willis Towers Watson to broker its healthcare scheme.

Willis Towers Watson’s Health and Benefits team, has also introduced its nurse-led advice and claims management service to provide a unique tailored service to members and enhance the wellbeing benefits that the firm currently offers.

“This service will help ensure our people receive a personal service from named nurses, along with the most appropriate care or medical treatment,” said Debbie Westram, Howard Kennedy’s HR Operations Manager.

“We wanted to establish a first-class and sustainable healthcare scheme for all our people and, thanks to Willis Towers Watson’s expert consultancy, we believe we have achieved this.”

The firm’s medical scheme has immediately grown by 11 per cent in response to the additional medical benefits and advice offered under the new service.

The firm has boosted benefits provision with everyday healthcare costs, including physiotherapy, dental and optical, now covered by a cash plan.

Howard Kennedy’s healthcare scheme is part of a wider package of benefits available to all employees that includes life assurance, permanent health insurance, pension, discounted gym membership and flexible working, among others.

Richard Munro, Director at Willis Towers Watson, added: “Controlling medical insurance costs can be a considerable challenge for businesses. We are delighted that, following a comprehensive market review and assessment of future risk, we have been able to deliver a tailored, and improved, package that meets Howard Kennedy’s healthcare needs.”
